Inviting Coworking Center:
This coworking center was created to serve a small suburban community. It is set up to provide a wide variety of services and functions. The owner had access to a large cache of salvaged oak lumber that had aged to a rich patina in his family’s barn. Interior details, work carrels, barn doors, and all manner of furniture pieces were made from the stockpile of oak. For flexibility, work desks were put on
industrial castors and designed to nest three at a time when not in use. A hydroponic garden was integrated into a south facing wall of the main space. The space has hosted large community events as well as a variety of coworking activities.
